April 18th: Newport Sands [Cesig Duon] to Penrhyn Ychan [Caravan site] SPRING IS DEFINITELY HERE! SUCH A RICHNESS OF COLOUR!
Busy pathways, particularly near coves accessible by car…mums and dads with children, young couples, seniors, dogs and more dogs…signs of spring in the increasing variety of flowers, trees leafing, a richness in the greens, birds nesting… This is our last day with Mona’s sister Lise and partner, David. They have been incredibly helpful and generous in planning and walking over 130 Pembrokeshire miles with us over the last two weeks…Our walk tomorrow from Allt y Goed near Poppit Sands to Newport Sands will complete our walk of the Pembrokeshire coastal path…an unforgettable experience of beauty…..
#1 is Wild Garlic, 2 are violets, 3 is Periwinkle, 4? Thought is was Red Campion, but can’t see it well. May be Ragged Robin – need help on that one, 5 need to check but either Stitchwort or Chickweed. Later you may see some orchids. Wow! Wish I was hiking. We have sleet and snow here and no signs of growth or green!
Love and hugs
You have such beautiful photos and I love the way you focus in on all those lovely wild flowers. Very beautiful! Wishing you the very best. Keep trekkin’
