NAFOW Calgary 2016

NAFOW Calgary 2016

April 3rd: Llanrhystud to Aberaeron

Length 8 miles with diversions. Weather: Drizzle and mist. Saw a lot of coastline erosion inflicted by the severe storms that Wales suffered earlier this year! Walked through Llanon village which is “ …famous for its association with St Non and St David and for the strip of good agricultural land which borders the sea…where medieval strip fields still survive.” [credit: Ceredigion Museum; Ceredigion Heritage Coast: Ceredigion County Council and Llansantffraed Community Council]. Met several friendly people walking their dogs. Parked in Aberaeron near the plaque commemorating cancer-survivor, David Sinnett-Jones, ‘a great hearted man with astonishing determination and courage’. Hope you enjoy the misty photos!

Popping in to say “Good Day!” I sure love your photos – the ones with the mist are so beautiful. You really get the feeling of the mist. I love mist. David you sure look good for a 70 year old. It’s amazing what the weather can do to the lay of the land and change it’s face. Continue to enjoy you walking around Wales, Mona and David!

The story about David Sinnett-Jones is really quite something. I’m often amazed at the courage people can have in the midst of adversity!
Keep up the good work David and Mona. A BIG HELLO to Oscar. You three are often in my thoughts and prayers.
