April14th: Whitesands Beach to Trefin… and AS A FOOTNOTE..
An amazing walk that was thoroughly enjoyed by the four of us! The day was sunny but cool…perfect for walking! The walk over the hills from St David’s Head reminded Mona and myself of the barrenlands of the Northwest Territories where we went hunting with the Tlicho dene. We were taken back in time…given the opportunity to imagine what life might have been like hundreds of years ago! We are learning so much about the history of Wales along the coastline. Today we were amazed by the slate and stone quarry workings that went on over a hundred years ago…and David L Davies, you were right, the blue lagoon is beautiful and there were divers jumping!! Porthgain was really busy and a pint in the local helped us regain some strength. Many people walking today…they too must have had a great day!
