March 27th: Manorbier to Saundersfoot!

Did a reverse walk [no, we didn’t walk backwards] today as we are staying in Saundersfoot with friends, Kathy and Leila! Incredibly beautiful walk in cool, windy weather with occasional glimpses of the sun. High cliffs, deep coves, well-maintained trails and, once again friendly people. Welcomed at Lydstep Beach Village for a coffee…quite a striking holiday village. Tenby more interesting and colourful than ever. Sorry we have so many photos…2 photographers with Kathy taking the lead…

David, glad to see you are at last being sympathetic towards Mona at last by allowing here a ride in a wheelbarrow. I also note you did the walk today in reverse so technically to count towards the 870 miles I assume you walked backwards? Ha! Ha! Is that why Mona was in the wheelbarrow?
Incidentally, you will remember the coastguard station at Worm’s Head Rhosilli, and be sorry to hear someone fell off the cliffs there this afternoon and died. Please both of you be careful on the Pembs Cliffs. David & Diane xxx

How wonderful that Kathy & Leila joined up with you! Give them a hug for me, will you? And keep up your great MAD walking — we (the MJ gang)are all behind you here in Calgary.
