Walk Strategy Update!

We have completed the coastal path walk from Chepstow to the outskirts of Cardiff. We are currently in the Acorn Campground in Llantwit Major and from here we plan to walk, over a few days, the distance between the outskirts of Cardiff and this village. We will do this by taking a train to various points and walking to the next large centre. Today, for example, we walked 17 miles or so to Barry and around Barry Island. We returned toNear Llantwit Major MansionGileston Llantwit Major by train. Tomorrow we plan to take the train back up the coast to Penarth and walk the Penarth to Barry stretch. The following day, we plan to take the train to Cardiff, a bus to the eastern outskirts of the city, and then walk from there, through the city of Cardiff, to Penarth. We will have then completed the coastal walk from Chepstow to Llantwit Major. Here are some photos we took today! We met Ken Smith on the trail, a person quite familiar with several places in Canada.

    Not for publication.
Hi,your original email was forwarded to me by Terry, Rambler of Neath. I would be interested in joining you for a day(s), probably when you pass somewhere between Porthcawl and the Gower.
I’ll be tied up on Sunday (church) and Tuesday (retired group lunch Carmarthen).

Well done so far, Mona and David. Now camping in Llanilltud Fawr – who was the “twit” who changed the name to Llantwit!?! Perhaps your followers may read about Saint Illtud. Huw T.
